Link building - how to attract people to new link directory?

I have a few pr3/pr4 domains that I want to use for link and article directories. Once they're up, what is the best way to attract people to use them?

I'm thinking making them free for, say, 6 months to build them up and then, say, charge a small fee for feature listings?

announce it in the directory section...contact directory submitters and ask them to add those in the list.

 

Sounds good. I'd try to get them added to http://www.easysubmits.com or similar services, like Kanwarjot suggested.

 

Advertise your site on directory list directory critic and vmoptions.

 

Announce your directory in webmaster forums and submit them to popular lists. Free directories can get traffic rather quickly.

Make sure an let DPers know when your directory is up and allow us to feel some of that pr3/pr4 luv.

 

Better join in some forums,advertise ur dir as signature and also add on some free advertising site and also submit the URl by urself ...get from Google search for each category...

 

Contact the directory submitters and make sure your directory is in their list of submission, your half job is done
