I have a job site which is fairly established with a good PR, but still i wanted to build some more links with the appropriate anchor text, what would be the best method to develop links for the site. Am looking to build one way links, no link exchanges. Any suggestions are welcome. thanx in advance.
There are a few options that are available to you. 1) join the coop network. 2) use a program like Arelia (sp?) to help you find potential link partners. 3) manually go through the serps and look for people who provide link exchanges and exchange links with them. 4) provide news or noteworthy info on your site and promote it with press releases. 5) find helpful communities out there and ask for help. I recommend all 5.
I think you have not understood my question, what i want to know is since it's a job site, what could be the various options with me so as to get more links from career, college and university sites. how can i ask them to link me??? Any ideas..
I would suggest submitting to all free directories in the relevant category (career, college and university). Here is a list of free web directories you can submit to: http://www.seocompany.ca/directory/free-web-directories.html
To attain one way links, you need to have good content. If you have the good content, then you need to put it in front of the people who are likely to want to link to you. It can be done directly or indirectly.
You are facing a relatively difficult long term job... Classicaly, you have 2-3 ways: - Have good content, so good that you will become a reference and people will link at you - write articles - There are hundreds of places where your articles may be listed - post comments on blogs and forums I found this article worthwhile on the subject http://www.alotoflinks.com/blog/2005/02/02/20-sure-fire-ways-to-get-people-to-link-your-web-site/ Remy
