Hello, new to seo, I have an established website for our photography business, which from what I have read on these forums might be a little different than what typically is talked about on here but figured it was worth a shot. Our site www.kristinspencer.com is being completely redone as it currently is not set up well for seo. We have hired an seo firm to do the onpage work but I am going to do the link building.

i like to think that we have good content with our blogs etc, just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for link building besides "great content"

we are hoping with the on page changes that we should be in fairly good shape but know that I need to add more links.

    thank for any sugggestions

Honestly I wouldn't let a company do any of the onpage work. It's extremely simple. The hardest part is finding keyphrases to optimize for. Personally, I would use software like Market Samurai to help you figure out which phrases you should target. Market Samurai will help you figure things out and will help you find backlink opportunities as well. Also, you might want to check out other SEO software like link-assistant.com which is what I use for a vast majority of my link building work.

Thanks for the reply, I will check out market samurai and link-assistant. I had found seomoz and it looked like those tools could be helpful as well.

we are doing a redesign on the site, not just for seo, but it might be extremely simple if i were not a photographer ;)
