I create monuments and headstones. I have a good niche, and I am the best in my field, so I am not too worried about that part. I just made my first site. All original content, and I have been doing some SEO... but I am trying to get some quality backlinks. I am having a little trouble finding blogs or forums that are related to my field. I have found one forum.. findagrave .. but I cant tell if it is dofollow. Is there a way to search for blogs or forums on Google for a specific niche that are dofollow? Some command in the searchbar? If this is an inappropriate question, I apologize.
Rough niche to get into, but the potential is there. You may want to try the old fashioned email/phone call to sites in the same industry, telling them how much you like their product or service and ask for a link. Start a blog and write an article about them to encourage that.( Though admittedly, how tasteful or interesting a blog about monument stones can be is questionable) Good luck.
sounds like you've got a tough search ahead of you but maybe you'll find some. It's very specialized but maybe you'll find some. Here's some dofollow search directories: linkbuildingbible.com/dofollowdiver/ dofollowblogs.com wp-blog.net dofollow.thegermz.com/ backlinkspot.com/ commenthunt.com/ good luck!
First of all, your niche is not all that competitive when it comes to search engine results. It would not be that hard to rank highly for all of your keywords, regardless of backlinks. You just need some keyword tweaking (Page title, H1 tags, density) on your pages and you should see significant improvement. But back to your question. DMOZ submission. This may take a while to be listed, but better to get it in now. Your local Chamber of Commerce sometimes offers links for local businesses. Contact every funeral home you have done business with, and offer a 'profile' exchange. Notice how I did not say 'link' exchange, although that is your ulterior motive here. Profiles are a little more involved, pic of their logo, phone number, address, contact information, website, etc. Add your keyword/url to your signature here at Digital Point. Analyze your competitors backlinks. What works for them, should work for you. Thompson Monuments in Webster City, for example, reveals one Google backlink in a Death Care Web Directory. Don't stop with Google, explore their Baclinks at Yahoo! Search. Mix your link text up a bit. Don't be too repetive, but always try to get your state, Iowa, in that text. Add your keywords and address to your Meta Description in the Head of the page. Rumor has it that this works well for Local Search, regardless of search engine. I am not sure of this, but I file this under the 'it cannot hurt' folder. Lastly, this is something you should do on a continual basis. Don't burn yourself out on it. Dedicate two or three hours a week in building your links, and never stop.
create some squidoo lenses. post in some forums with your keywords in your signature. dont spam just ask questions and answer some it will help.
Article directories are on downhill because blogs dominate it, best if you start a blog if you have original content focusing on specific niche, it will help you in link building and content promotion too.
The Best thing you can do is to ask your friends or people You know who have websites or blogs to give you testimonial about your service and a link from the text to your website. Or you can do Contextual linking, because google gives high value to that.
