    Hello,

I have a domain,,, which is registered at GoDaddy...
I haven't linked to domain to any server/hosting yet, and when you visit the domain, you will be directed to GoDaddy's "public" page...

I am still working on my website, which is currently under a different domain, so my question is:

Can I start linkbuilding for this new domain ???
( So when I transfer my website to this new domain,,, I will at least have a few backlinks etc. )...

Or will all these backlinks be useless,,, and will Google not take them serious, since it's just a plain domain with no website ( content )...

Will my domain, get a better search engine ranking, if I build links for it ???
( Despite the fact, the domain has NO CONTENT at all ! ).

    Please let me know.

build backlink for a new domain is useless. better idea is start to put some articles on your site, get indexing, then start backlinking.
    hope it works :)

Only a domain with website, I don't think the backlinks would work. Not even the rank on SERPs.

Of course you can but you should make sure that there are at lest few visitors visiting your site. And like what Excel 8 said when you get it live the indexing process will be faster.. All the best.. Just PM me if you need any other help as well.. Willing to contribute ideas of making your website better... Don't worry it's FREE..:)

Of course you can build backlinks for your domain name, don't listen to anyone who says you can't. What's recommended however is you build perhaps a "coming soon" splash page so people are not dismayed by the website.
