1. Blog commenting and guestbook commenting. There are many ways to find blogs to comment on, using the google blog search or you can use footprints like: inurl:/node/ "reply" "Submitted by Anonymous" "your keywords" The above code will find drupal blogs 2. Article Submissions, this is still a great way to build relevant content to you website. Just make sure each article is unique. 3. Directory Submissions, not as popular as once was but still a great way to gain links, consider using your brand name for these types of links. 4. Web 2.0, there are many sites out there which you can create you very own web 2.0 blog, tumblr.com, blogger.com, wordpress, jimdo.com, bravesites.com etc 5. Video sites, create a quick video it doesnt have to be anything special, using windows movie maker and upload it to sites like youtube. Drop your link in the description firld. 7. Answer sites, join sites like yahoo answers and reply to questions using your domain name as a reference. Yahoo answers you need to have a level of 2 to do this. 8. Social bookmarking, still a great way to gain backlinks. Reddit, Folkd, etc 9. Rss feed, send your feeds to feed aggregator like feedagg.com, to gain even more backlinks. Top tip submit your web 2.0 feeds also 10. Document sharing sites, create an original piece of writing with Word or whatever you use. Add your backlinks in the text pointing to your site. Export from word as a .pdf and submit to document sharing sites like scribd.com, docstoc.com, slideshare.net crocodoc.com, Issuu.com, docshare.com 11. Pad files, create a piece of software or get someone to do this for you got to http://repository.appvisor.com/ and sign up. You can create a pad file submit it and add your backlinks in the file. Your backlink will be pointed to the download page of the software! 12. Social Media, sign up to sites like twitter, facebook and like or tweet your website. 13. Forum signatures, pretty obvious sign up to related forums and drop your links in your signature. 14. Profile links, these arent so powerful anymore so i would advise just using these to boost your generic keyword anchors, like click me, read more etc 15. Template sponsorship, you can buy sponsorships to new cms templates and have your links in the footer of templates. That should keep you diversified for while!

Profile Linking, Blog Commenting(With Keywords in Name Field) can do more harm then good as Google has marked them as spam.
