First be sure you pages are optimized if you are using a wp blog it's easy you only need the SEO plug in and be sure of using an SEO permanent link and use your post title as a long tail keyword.

Now the next step is link building, so start natuarally

1. Start with article marketing, find some high ranking directories and start submitting articles you can use 1 article and spin it then use it in different directories you can easily manually post to 10 and more directories.
If you have some money to invest in this strategy so great.

2. Bloging by using the free blogs from blogger and WP. and for sure blog commenting but here you need to make your own research to find some good high ranking and related blogs. Do not use any lists from this forum or any other forum make your own list by researching.

one way to find some good blogs is by using backlink checker tool like backlinkwhatch and see the backlinks for some related blog (a competitor)

3. use video marketing, simply use pictures to make some videos give the videos a good related title and use your link in the description.

4. Bookmarking, use as many bookmarking services as you can to bookmark all your pages and blog posts

5. forums, not by building profiles, but by replying to other threads and writing your own threads.

6. Create a PDF file and submit it as an ebook to some directories.

7. Submit your RSS feeds, and use them on other blogs you have

8. Exchange links, it's still a great way to get high PR backlinks

9 I hate spending much time on pages like squidoo and hubpages but there are some webmasters who still use them to get backlinks, I don't I think it's wast of time and you can not guarantee that the page will be published

10. Some press release sites could give you good backlinks.

These are the basics and after doing so you can get some real good ranking, after that it's up to you you can start investing money on link building to get more results easier and faster.

great post buddy. very informative. Though in point 9, i think hubpages and squidoo still helps..

 

Overall good ideas to start. Blog commenting typically is not very beneficial even though many claim it does help. I have seen it work but that was with over 25000 blog submissions, the conversion rate just on links from those blogs were quite small. Blogging in general is a good idea, just make sure your blogs are designed to provide actual content that people will link to.

yes by doing this one can increase links, and also there is one more thing one can try for good backlinks that is Wikipidia entry, Wikipidia is liked by the search engines so, wikipidia can provide the good quality backlinks.

 

For point 3, I think backlinkwatch is dead. I died a few weeks ago, rather the indexing linking thing from yahoo died a few weeks ago. It still has all of the historic links, but in a couple months it's going to be worthless.

Think about the traffic you will get from a link. This is a great way to assess the value of the links. If the link is relevant and on a relevant site with good traffic then it probably will send you traffic and probably will help your rankings. Google likes these types of links as they are genuinely helpful to real people.

I have read a lot recently about video marketing. You just have to make sure you link your key words and not just place your links in the description if you are trying for higher SERP rankings.

Well, I like the idea for Blog Commenting, but the thing is that - many blogs never approves our comment and hence i feel that this is a wastage of our time.
Can anyone let me know how can we do a blog commenting in the best ways without feeling like we are wasting our time.
Seriously - i had spent lots of time in blog commenting - where only some of my blogs comment got approved which i felt is of no value as there was no Page Rank to the page where i commented on.
Can any one tell me the best way of blog commenting and if i am going wrong some where??
