Hello, I have a question and I would really appriciate your help very, very much. Lets say I have a site that I would like to rank very well on a search on google.de (German google). What do you think, is it important that I build as many links only on German web (sites in German language), or it doesn't matter and I can build links just anywhere on the net. Does google.de give more validity to links on German sites than on sites in English? If yes, how much more are links on German pages more important? I have friends with high PR sites in english and they would include links to my site with german keyword as hypertext. Do you think this will work? Thank you again for your help!
i believe G will look relavance . it will not look that this site is german or english or the other. I think the key factor is relavance (pet sites to pet sites, webmaster site to webmaster sites)
no matter what language it is as long as it's relevant it will be count. so just go nuts with links on any language but make sure it's relevant. ^^
If your targeted keywords is in German words, I think your site can have extra point if you can have links to site which is also having your targeted keywords and related to your site. So German site can be good. But if you also have links from english site which is consider as trusted site it can also help you with your ranking. It doesn't matter if you have links from german site or english site as long as those site is trusted and related to your site.
google preferes sites on google.de/ google.at / google.ch which are hosted in Germany. So its quite difficult to get top position if your site is hosted in eg in UK. But ... good links always help
