    Hi Everyone,

I have a couple of websites which whilst ranking quite well in google etc. (well, one of them), both lack any really decent backlinks and I think traffic could be better.

Is it best to find similar sites to share a link with, or should I hit the directories, free link pages etc.?

    The sites are:
http://www.audiofi.co.uk (decent SE positions, but not making much on affiliate/adsense)
    http://www.calculate-mpg.co.uk (brand new site)

I also have a blog on AudioFi, are there any places I should submit this onto?

    Thanks

    Andrew

You should definitely hit the social bookmark sites and then another thing you can do is searches and take a look at the top ranking sites. Email them and ask for a link exchange and also check out who they are link partnering with.

    Thanks for your reply.

Which social bookmarking sites should I concentrate on? Is it just a case of registering with them and adding the URLs?

Here’s how you can build some free one way links.

Search for free directory, website directory, submit directory, etc and you will find lot of results. Submit to as many as you can under relevant category.

Search for related sites where you can add links to. For example, if your site is related to football, then you can search for “football add url” or “football add link” and you will find some sites where you can add your link to.

Search for related blog articles and add relevant comments on the blog post. You can search for football add comment or football blog add comment, etc. be creative on your search terms to find variation of results. When you add comments on a blog, it is important to remember that you need to add some value to the blog post and submit related comment. DO NOT SPAM any blog

Search for free press release or submit free press release and submit your article to as many PR sites you can. You can add anchor text link on a press release article.

This will get you going for some time. Hope that helps.
