Setting up links using article submissions is something new that I have just started, so I am not sure how to do it. Originally I wanted one way, inbound links for my site, but getting these has been difficult. My site is new and has little traffic and no page rank, no one wants to do this. I have turned to article submission to build back links. That has become time consuming. There seem to be two ways to do this. One way is to take sixty separate articles and submit them to sixty separate article directories. I have read that this is the best way to keep from irritating search engines due to duplicating content. A quicker way would be to submit all fifteen articles that I have to four article directories. This seems like a quick way to get sixty back links, but the other way may be more effective, even if it is time consuming. What do you think? I also have submitted my site to directories in order to create links. Is this effective for reaching my link popularity goals or is there another way that has nothing to do with submitting to regular directories and article directories? I have found some businesses that sell inbound links for a reasonable price. This sounds good to me; however, I do have some concerns. I am wondering if these are just reciprocal links or if this is even worth while at all. Does anyone have any information on this? Finally, along these lines, when I used some link checking software to see who was linked to my site and how many of them there were, I only saw sites I did not submit to, whether they were article directories or regular directories. In fact, most of them are various businesses sites. While it is possible that I could have overlooked them, is what I am seeing accurate and if my submissions are not there, what happened to them?
Linkbuilding is a continuous cycle of events, the moment you stop building links then it could trigger search engines to lower importance... you also do not want to build it too quick and then stop completely. Article sites that are not duplicate sites are a good way for one-way inbound links. It can be time consuming - but if you have a diverse website you could easily write an article and have it produce an inbound link and maybe even a referral due to the fact that it wouldn't be able to be classed as duplicate content. In this case you would just need to choose the right article site for that purpose. Different directories take different times to approve websites and so even if you submitted to 100 directories in one day, the linkbuilding could take place over the course of 1-2 months - depending on the directory. It would be best if you located more specialised directories to your market and therefore creating more relevant inbound links. The same principle applies to article sites. The thing you never mentioned was approaching another related business. Is there any that your service would complement? - this would be a reciprocal link but may come from a higher authority source and therefore give more weight to the link... not to mention the traffic it could send could enable you to pick up some warm leads.
