phplinkbid as I understand has a new revision out that has fixed a lot of bugs, plus there are a range of good Mods around for this script

Mikey's blog post does give you a very good description of the 3 main bidding software packages.

A couple things to add. LinkBidScript has a newer and much nicer version v1.2 that has just come out recently. I've been using it and modifying it over the last week. It's a very nice product. An even nicer product due to the fact that it is currently free.

PHPLinkBid has a new version (v1.4) that is supposed to be coming out shortly it sounds like it is going to again become the best bidding software on the market. PHPLinkBid is the leader in the bidding software market, but they continue to over-promise and under-achieve. Reading Mikey's blog, he discusses how v1.4 is coming out shortly (and the blog was posted in August). It's now November and it's still supposed to be coming out shortly.
Another advantage of PHPLinkBid software is that the author has always made it very easy to upgrade to newer versions of the software as they come out.

I am using both phpLB and LBS at my 2 bidding directories without having any problem. If you want to just start without any primary investment then go with LBS as its free script.

Thats a little harsh. All scripts have bugs. Its only version 1.2

phpLD is 3.2 and still has bugs. Vbulletin is 3.6 and is the same.

I love the phplb script, even though the support is not good. Also It is one of the best script for bidding directory.

Come on, these bugs are known for months now and it would cost the author 10 minutes to upload a patched version ...
I had so search around for 2 hours to fix the problems - if I pay for a script then I expect that it is working.

Did you enter website name in the admin panel?

I will check and update templates shortly.

Also you probably better off asking these questions on LinkBidScript support forum - you get much faster responce

    rishirajsingh,

There are many things you can do with the LinkBidScript and the more you learn about the templates, and PHP the more you can do with it. If you have no interest in modifying it at all, then you can only change the fields in the admin and hope for people to create templates to give you the ability to make it look different than everyone elses.

If you want to see one that is different than most of them, Bidding for Position is my first LinkBidScript bid directory. It's still very new, but I have made many modifications to it. Still have to work on the title, description, and keyword tags for all the pages and categories, but some are done, and the rest should be done shortly.
