Link baiting ideas needed

    I have a s/w based website . I want to do link baiting and want to get few links from .edu and .gov sites . Any practical advice regarding it will be great for me

    You have a Smith & Wesson based website?! If you think your post is intelligible you can safely give up on the idea of writing link bait. Don't waste your time.

    Well, IMHO opinion here is the best way to create link-bait.

    1. Google a keyword you want to target.
    2. Examine the information that emerges at the top of the search.
    3. Find out who links to that information.
    4. Create information that is much better than the information that you have found.
    5. Promote your information to the same people who link to the information you have found.

    I truly believe this is the most efficient way to gain quality links.

    Try to conduct surveys related to your niche. You can use the data collected and make a press release. Go for paid press releases as it gives more exposure. This is the success mantra I used for my clients and it really clicked. Try and check..
