Link Back Verifier?

I have a new web and article directory that requires a link back for better positioning in the directory (my account is new so I can't post the link). Sometimes webmasters will submit their site and will specify their first links page as the location for the reciprocal link. The problem is that my website might be on page 49 of 200 or something link that. But I want to make sure that they are really placing my link in return for the better position they receive on my directory.

Any suggestions for software or website tool that will spider websites (based on inputted list) for back links?

Sorry, let me explain. I don't know if I should be uploading code here so I meant I could post a link to the code on my domain but not linked on the website. Is that any clearer? Sorry for the confusion.

Ah, ok. Doesn't hurt to check it out. What are you using? PHP? C#? or something weird? I'd like to compare it with my own pitty attempts :)

It would be jscript running under Windows Scripting Host. Is it against the rules to post it here?

I don't think so. YOu can paste it and use the code tags around it:
