link age and position .

    if google index a backlink, does it immediately affect my serp position or google will observe for some time? that is, over time, you got more and more benefit from your backlink?

    I don't think it's immediate. Depending on how often your site is updated, Google visits it accordingly. Over time these links are measured and included in the next PR update. (which is every couple of months or so? I'm not entirely sure)

    When Google finds a link to your website, it doesn’t react immediately. Moreover, it doesn’t consider during the PR update. From my personal experience, after goglebot has found a link to a website, only in 2-3 weeks this site start to move up in the SERP.

    i think a backlink will effect to your google serp after 3-4 months later
