Limited SERP movement from yesterday

Has anybody else noticed their SERPs not moving from yesterday?

 

not sure what you mean - my serps often don't move for a day or two

 

I have seen movements from yesterday and the day before too. A lot of movements downwards because of a recent rename of all my pages.

 

I am seeing movements for my keywords.

 

actually yes i have seen negative movement because my cached copy has gone back to the 7th of september - before i made some changes

 

TB, I have very, very little movement this morning. I saw some big jumps yesterday and had a couple days of completely random up and down movement in the days before that. This should be interesting.

 

Little jumps, big jumps -- tools like the keyword tracker are great but we all really need to understand that it's an addiction.

Month-to-month changes, yes. Week-to-week changes, even. But day-to-day changes? Relax -- down today, up tomorrow, it all evens out...

 

My thoughts exactly... This is a pointless topic which can be discussed and restarted every day...

There is NO way everyone would see the same across the board. Where there are winners there are losers too. It is common, even guranteed that there will be movements some days and stale positions the other few days. Asking what others are seeing is the same as asking "Did you see that cloud today moving from left to tight?". Too many variables involved. For instance, I am tracking hundreds of keywords. My answer to your question: Yes; some didn't move. Other did though.

Algo Tweaks
New pages entering
Old pages disappearing
KWT preferences settings

And another billion variables.
And what if people have seen the same, or haven't. What does that tell you?

And judging from 3 people's responses that this could be leading to something is just nonsense.

These threads keep coming every day and will be coming every day. "Backlinks increased, PR Update?" and all those... Just wait and see, there's is nothing else you can do.

No silly, it means I am off to San Diego to retrieve my fabulous awesome XP Pro SP2 box that won't run for more than 10 minutes since the SP2 update. DUH!

No. I'm sorry if it sounded as if I were mocking you -- I'm not -- just trying to asnwer the question.

On another forum, one of the members has as a sig, "The only stupid question is one that isn't asked", or something along those lines...

 

I track a lot of "accidental" keywords. These are keywords that I am not trying to get. They normally fluctuate a good deal from day to day. Compared to yesterday, they hardly fluctuated at all.

To find out if this was indicative of something greater, I polled this group. Perhaps some of us need to calm down.
