Limited link building?

I started a new site about a month or so ago.
It is in the cell phone/mobile niche and paid for someone to do some forum posts.
I would want to keep my expenses down but what would you guys recommend for building backinks. Most of the sites that are relevant to post to are no follow and so far any insight I provide on the blogs give those sites an advantage on the serps.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hang on, you've got a link in your signature which is advertising how to get backlinks but you're asking here how to get backlinks?

Even if the forums where you want to post are nofollow , you can get trafic from there, and that will help.

If you can write articles are good - the best article sites review articles before publishing - try ezinearticles and articlesbase (articlesbase is nofollow except for your signature on syndicated articles). You could also offer to write articles with a link to your site for people with technology blogs (there are plenty on DP)

Try some techniques of SEO. I prefer Article marketing, forum posting, directory submission, Social Media Marketing etc as the greatest techniques for link building.

Don't discount the links in your niche just because the blogs in that niche are nofollow. You should be participating on those blogs using a proper name and building up a following to your site through interaction with your niche community. You will receive traffic from those links and the people who like your site will link to you, maybe not instantly but they will come naturally.

You should also diversify, look for forums in your niche where you can interact on a daily basis.

Try to come up with some good link bait for your niche, do something unique or useful that no one else has done for your niche before. Something like a Top X list for your niche because lists are always popular.

Article Marketing can work if you can write some good articles for your niche and submit them to the top article directories. Just do a search on here and you will find endless lists of directories.
