Is there a way to limit ads to appearing in only the keywords I have created for the campaign? I use Adwords to generate leads and click-thrus from keywords outside of the 200 or so keywords I have in my campaign is extremely rare and I don't think any have led to work.
You need to know about matching types. Set to exact match, aand your ads will only show if someone searches for exactly the keyword as you've put it in the adgroup. Set it to phrase match and it can also show with words on the front or back of your keyword to make a longer search phrase. Set it to broad match and it can show for synonyms and related terms. This is what Google sets as the default, which is very naughty as for most people it's only useful to research new keywords and should only be used if accompanied by constant scrutiny and tweaking of your keyword list, and long lists of negatives or you can burn through money on completely useless search terms very quickly.
