Limbaugh Brags About Threatening Children of Journalist...

How about hating a hypocrite? Most cases what he did the person would be in jail, would not be trusted on any level by the right wing. Yet when it's good old Rush he should get a free pass and be allowed to 'educate' which where you got that from is beyond me.

How does this equate to him educating anyone? What is he going to educate them about? If you're rich and you have a huge conservative following it doesn't matter what you do, the rules do not apply and even though drugs are used against anyone in every other instance by the conservatives in his case it will be dismissed? Yeah real good message to spread, the rules don't count, different rules for different people, just lovely.

BTW the point of the thread, I do not see the quote as threatening any child, it is however sickening to bring the children up at all.
As a father myself, anyone who'd dare bring up my child in such a fasion to me would be eating my fist, but that's just me.

 

Rush needs to "rush" back to Dom. Rep. along with a bag of purple pills and just stay there! Who in the world would listen to and agree with what this idiot says anyways.

 

I image most people would consider someone like Limbaugh's saying that he will find out where your kids go to school to be a threat. You implied it yourself. And he had to have known this when he said it (assuming he not just making the whole thing up).

So what was RL going to do when he found out where they went to school? Offer them some candy? Give them a backrub? Take some nice pictures? Abduct them Oh I get it, he was just going to point out the journalist was some elitist, and his kids went to private school. Yeah, that must be it

And just think, this is just what he is saying in public.

 

I see how it could not be a threat, but to bring up my child into the situation it doesn't matter if it's a threat or not.

I speak the way I do as simply putting my son into the situation, he has nothing to do with it, threat or not

I was severly disappointed when he changed radio stations in my area, there was always something informative from him.

 

More liberals on this forum listen to hannity and Rush then all of the people I have ever known to have listened to either.

These also goes for Foxnews, seems like more liberals watch it than anyone else.

what's this got to do with liberals? I'm no liberal. Nor am I a conservative. I'm what I believe in regardless of what you do. If we happen to agree does that mean I'm one of you?

What does Rush not exhibit? A repentent heart. Unlike Paul he has not been knocked off his high horse yet. He has not eaten the dirt along the road to Damascus.

 

Totally off topic, but....

Years ago. I was working for Val's of Toluca Lake, CA, a French-patterned, ridiculously over-the-top place (original Pompeiian murals, gold lined chairs, etc. - see Ghost Busters II for an interior....) Late night, few if any in the room but Limbaugh, having dinner with Markie Post and the late John Ritter. Why the three were together, I don't know, but Post was in rapt attention to Limbaugh and Ritter, from my memory, just seemed vaguely bemused. Limbaugh's two body guards - two huge guys in really dark suits - sat about 20 feet away, both of them chowing the biggest steak in the house. As was Limbaugh...

Alright, back to topic. My personal take is that Limbaugh has never cared for anybody but Limbaugh, and tapped into (and capitalized on) a certain strain in American culture; and that's it.

I also think the thrust of the Molly Ivins's article (printed all the way back in 1995) is right. Limbaugh introduced an unfettered maliciousness to the dialogue. We're not better because of it.
