OMG, are you kidding me? Last night, now again.. If none of members agree on guys thread, how can you know that is what is needed on this forum?
Either way, it's not a democracy here. You can give suggestions, and if they are good, we will incorporate them. You could come with a petition for change signed by 500,000,000 people and President of the United States and the Pope and it still won't change the fact that members need 3 likes form unique members to become "established". If anything, I'd be more inclined to set the bar higher than 3 likes, not lower it. The point is that your time would be better spent standing in a bank lobby asking them to change their rules that don't allow them to give out free money, because you want some. You have a higher probability of changing that rule.
Neither. It's essentially a private company. You do understand that a business can choose how to run itself an provide services, right? Just because you're not paying directly doesn't change that. This isn't the Kingdom of DigitalPoint, an independent country and we're not citizens of it.
I think the 3 like system is better than the old number of posts system as this stops people adding spammy posts to threads without contributing any useful information. I have to say thought that the new DP site is much much better than the old one.
I agree. "Likes" seems like a popularity contest. I have been very ill the last few years and have not been here much as a consequence. Can I help that? Nope. So yeah, the new forum looks great! I'm not liking this "like" system though. Seems so childish and pointless. If we take the time to actually respond to a post with useful comments then what's NOT to like about that? A manditory "like" though? Boggles the mind. I'm an adult here and I don't require someone else's approval of what I say or what I do or do not reply to. As usual, having to jump the hoops and cross every "t" on this site just seems to get more and more complicated. Oh! Hey, this is what is called a personal opinion. Like it or not
As in everything, its the few bad members who make life harder for the good ones. If you have any ideas on how to identify the good members from the bad without putting obstacles in the way let us know. We're open to suggestions - you may think of something we've missed.
It's easy right..? This new rule is just a barrier to the spammers/scammers.. The serious/real ones will try to get their privilege with their own way (contributing, complaining, etc)..
If one doesn't express their displeasure about a change, then no one will know of the displeasure. Ah, but I'm just another whiner then. I feel so appreciated at as a customer.
