If i create something in powerpoint 2003, for example a flowchart and it is sent to someone using powerpoint 2010, how likely is it that there might be problems for the other person opening it up in the 2010 version? Or vice versa. I have 2003 installed, never really used it, but now im most likely going to want to work in powerpoint soon to create flowcharts, as these flowcharts will be passed onto other people im thinking that it might be better for me to buy 2010, get used to that version and possibly avoid problems. What do you think?
If you install the 2010 viewer i don't think you will have problems, the only thing is that if they edit your file, they must remember to save it in 2003 format so you can change it again.
the format in which you save it make change you should saveit your compatible version that your mates can use
There is a plug-in which will convert your newer formats of the entire office package so that it can be opened with office 2003. I have it installed, but unfortunately have no idea what was its name and it's totally integrated in my MS office now... If I find the installation package, I will email it to you... Otherwise in regard of compatibility - I really do not know, haven't faced any issues so far, but I guess there will be some formatting differences. Edit: OMG, just realized how old this thread really is... However, couldn't found the tool, guess it is buried somewhere in my back ups. Sorry i couldn't help...
