Else, the next one will be, do I need to post something to get likes... I bet within the next 7 days

I wanted to like a post someone made, but can't for the life of me find it.

    Thanks!

You will not be able to see the like button until you are an established member and eligible to use it.

That would defeat the point in the like button. There are many threads about this already and a help file. Read: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/help/established

I don't like to be rude, but open your eyes a bit more and use your brain. I'm not saying you're stupid, but clearly didn't use your grey matter.

Oh right. So i need to be an established member in order to use it. Kinda sucks that i have to wait for 3 likes before i can use the marketplace when i've been here all this time.

You can always go route #2 and get premium membership if you don't have anything useful to post.

This rule was originally made me confused,
but I'm thankful there are many friends who always give the right information..
try to make useful posts so that other friends can give "a like"

Obviously staff thought this new system was best, and they're probably right. But personally i'd have rather they automatically make someone trusted if they've been here a certain amount of time and had a certain amount of posts before the change.

But i'll have to make do regardless

a little but unfair part of the current system is that if you help out newbies in their threads they start you will never get a like

So unless there is profit in it, some are just not interested in helping out fellow members? (I admire their dedication to this site.)
We should *want* to help newbies just because we can, and not just to gain a like or two.

Damn you for using XF and making likes established. I actually laughed out loud at that one and went looking for the like button. It was one of those "oh yeah... can't do that" moments I have when I'm not on XF based sites anymore.
