Hi Is it possible to put a like button on my website that people can click on but doesn't take them away from my website? At the moment I have made the logo clickable (as a test) with the like link but it takes customers away from my site. My website is www.stardustkids.co.uk and my like is for www.facebook.com/stardustkid . Can anyone help?
I don't think it'll be possible. Whenever there's a click on that button, Facebook has to determine whether it is from a registered user. If not, then the user has to sign in and then he can complete the process. So, it can make sure that there are no more than one (like) click from the same account. It has to be redirected to the Facebook page from your site...
yes its in the facebook apps somewhere or developers page. I have likes all over my products and it doesnt redirect them
Hi BB-OM seems to be correct. I think the like button always takes you away to either log in or if you are logged in goes to the fan page. I have put the like button on my website banner but with a target=blank link so another page is opened.
Yes it is possible! Go here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like-box You can put connections to zero, not show the stream and show the header to get it to it's simplest form. What facebook calls the "like button" doesn't like your fan page but simply temporarily your web page. The Like box is most likely what you want. Good Luck!
I don't know if you can get a Like button specifically. I mean I don't doubt it given sophisticated enough coding, but you'd have to know someone that can do it or pay for it. Otherwise, you'd be better off finding a Thanks mod. Same basic concept.
