If i'm full I don't eat. I'm not going to going to make myself ill for the sake of honoring starving people (as much as a I feel bad for them).

If i'm ever rich enough i'll be doing plenty of rice bag drops from my heli to make up for it anyway.

Excess of anything is definitely bad. This generally happens in parties attended by super rich people where a lot of food is wasted, which can be better utilized to feed the starving people. If there is a voluntary organization in every country (down to the district level) channelizes the surplus food that would otherwise go waste for the benefit of the starved, then we can able to control at least 50% of the hunger in the developing countries.

I try to finish my food whenever possible. It's hard to be wasting food when there are so many hungry in the world.

It's a good point of view...but you can't ignore the starvation of those unfortunate people...for a moment imagine yourself in their situation:(

One word here...Never waste. If you think you don't have the appetite or can't eat that much, then don't cook or order too much in the first place. Always plan and determine what is the right amount. Finishing your food is a way to show appreciation to god for the food served on the table.

I do feel sorry for the people who are starving but if your full your full, or if you keep eating anyways you either A) get ill or B) get fat. I rarely leave my food anyways, but making yourself ill via eating too much or (looking at it the oposite way) starving yourself because you feel bad about something you have no control over is just stupid.

You can still do your bit for the less fortunate, ie buy stuff from charity shops (giving them your unwanted clothing is also an idea), donate money to chairty etc you don't have to donate your live savings, even a couple of dollars would surely be welcome.
