I am using the same combination , make sure your lighttpd doesnt have a memory leak and turn fastcgi off if your using a proxy.

I am running lighty on an lxadmin system. My php works fine. I have not enabled any fastcgi. I can but I have not.

Since I am fairly new at using this I don't know of the default install sets up php to run a s cgi or not.

LxAdmin is a cPanel/whm type control panel that uses lighttpd. It can also use Apache but works with a much smaller footprint using lighttpd. It makes it possible to actually do something with a 128mb VPS. A 256mb can rock using it.

Yea...lighttpd and lxadmin are the next best things coming to hosting industry as mainstream options.

I wish webmin could support lighty.

lxadmin, HIB, and lighttpd seem to be going places. I'm switching a VPS to trial it... Especially for VPS setups, getting everything optimized and running correct... lx, light and hypervm seems a good idea. I'll try to review it.

To OP, have you tried their support? They seem pretty nice and friendly - and of course interested in buggy details...

Also, php(FCGI) on lighty doesn't seem to be supported by phpProxy to login to myspace etc. as I heard from a few friends here at DP.

If you find any resorces, information besides the official forum please let me know. I have zero server admin experiece and information is tough to come by. Good thing for me that it works out of the box.
