Lightpress

    Has anyone used Lightpress?
    I just found it and it sounds quite nice but I am a bit reluctant to use it for my blogs.

    haven't tried them... but it's interesting. Is that legal though?

    Given your 'location' I can understand your worries, but why the hell wouldn't it be legal? Wordpress is GPL, Lightpress is GPL. Welcome to the world of Free software.

    Yeah, it's completely legal. But basically Lightpress is just taking the front of Wordpress -- I'm not a strong supporter of it as I am a supporter of Wordpress. I've had some experience in the developer field of Wordpress, so it kind of feels like a rip on Wordpress for Lightpress to be doing this, but all is fair in the world of GPL.

    Side note: I wouldn't mind nearly as much or at all if they gave credit back to Wordpress, but they don't -- at least out front.
