Light text

    Hi

I know that google penalize for hidden text (same color text as background).

My question is, I see a lot of sites having text that’s not the same as the background, but very similar. I am not able to read it at all. Will Google also penalize for that or is that acceptable?

    Thanks ;)

Who cares if google penalize or not? If your readers can't read it then don't have it on the page.

If you want to cheat google then there are better ways than having light coloured text. Use hidden divs with the style set in your css file or something. Don't blame me when you get caught though - Google are getting much better at spotting this.

I am just asking, I am not doing this.

These site are placing like an description of there site at the top of the page. Isn't it good if you have your keywords as close to the top of the page as possible??

They might aswell put the keywords in the description and that way they'll get both :D .

Off-topic: If you wanna mess with google you might aswell just put a small php code that finds out who you are, if a bot do something if not do something, actually I believe that GoOgle will hardly find out you're cloacking this way. :D:D

Is this one goes for hiding the URL of the site advertised? I think I have several of those.

@CutPrice: I suggest you take these links off. I don't understand why not just put the links. I can't recall once, that I saw a site with links and that caused me to part or go to another website. As long as there is good content on that page no link would cause traffic to leave. ;) . My 2 cents..
