Light Landing Pages = High Cost Per Click?

I've recently started a new site which has highly optimized landing pages. While the pages themselves don't have too much content, they all have tons of support content. Is this a problem? Do I need to add more content to the actual landing page to drive down my cost per click?

Normally my price should be around 20 cents a click, however I'm getting a minimum bid of 10$..

Did you copy content from other sites?

well it is in the keyword that you bid on. my question is how you target keywords? what is your preferred position?

Just added more content to the page and it changed from a minimum bid of 10$ to 5$. This is still quite high though its more in line with what I expected on a new site (of course I've never done this before, and I have another site with clicks around .20). I don't have a preferred position at this point that option has been left blank.
