Wrong. You could bid high in category pages and get better traffic from your audience visiting that page.

So you reckon I should pay close to $200 to get one link in a travel category?

Hmmmm, I love a gamble. When I go into something I set out to go full on and take out the opposition - If and only If I think it is worth my while but this is what whole thing is about.

My primary business is travel. I have a travel directory which I have paid $2400 to be listed on a site with a PR7 homepage that has over 30,000 indexed pages with tons of PR6 pages, tons of PR5 etc etc.

That is what I call money well spent.

Show me some traffic stats if I am paying $200 for a link and that will convince me that a travel category in a bidding directory at $200 plus is worth my while.

I am not sure how much traffic you can get from an inner category bid. I guess you could bid for the high in category and then decide down the road to add to it to get the home page.

You can take a really small gamble and bid the minimum to get listed on the home page of my bid directory for the category "Travel".

Life a gamble and so is bidding on a bidding directory for instance I bid in http://www.blaze/dir was on the front page now I am number 20 but still at least I was there if I want back on the first page I will bid more as I look at it as a long term investment and I will get backlinks and pr from where ever I am but thats on any directory bidding or not

I think time will tell us, the true value of bid directories,

I 've got 1 with 4 on the drawing board,

    The first one

    http://www.socialise.info

will simply follow the established permanent link, unrestricted format it started out with,

with the others, experiment is going to be a must

jg123 - your site is a bidding directory at its best.

http://www.topurlsearch.com/ has something for everyone in repsect of the homepage being more accessible to bids from all categories.

just tried submitting to your travel category and after filling in the whole form with all details was told you are not authorised to access this page!

weird, I know phpld can time-out if you take too long...like walk away and finish off 10 minutes later. Not sure of the time limit. I will check to see if your info is there and PM you.

    thanks

I agree with you, Google the Big Brother determine if the Bidding directories are good or bad.

If they make a PR6 to be Pr3 then no one will buy from them.

if the PR of bidding directories keep going up, people will keep bidding.

Google - The All mighty of Internet religion is the one who can say.
