Lie in Classified Ads?

    Hi,

I've read that classified ads are a very good way to promote a business. My problem is that since I live in Central America, some of the best classified ads sites like USFreeAds ask for a US physical address which I don't have. I'd like to know if you guys know a solution for this. I think lying could get me into trouble.

Thank you guys for the advice, it's a shame because people say that USFreeAds is one of the best as well as Craigslist. And Craigslist asks for phone verification, which I cannot comply with.

From experience I can tell you only the bigger classifieds are worth posting to - there are thousands of them about, many barely receive a trickle of traffic so posting your business can be a waste of time.

There are lots of additional methods of promoting your business - things like article posting, youtube, social marketing which are also highly effective.

I would also look for classifieds that don't ask for your address

I've used USFreeAds a lot and gotten great traffic from them ... if you can work out the address problem, they're worth it.

Sorry ... don't know what else to tell you about US Freeads. I don't know if they can verify your address or if you have a foreign ip address, they get suspicious. To tell you the truth, I would give a phony address a shot. Use a proxy. If it doesn't work, you haven't lost anything.
