    Hi All

We are planning to develop an web application using ASP.net and code behind as C#.net. For this we are using .net Framework 4.0 and Visual Web developer 2010 edition and database as mysql, server as IIS.

I would like to know if there is any licensing issue in developing the above application, since i want to develop these at no cost involved.:confused:

I also came to know that there is no cost involved in developing the application using the above softwares but there is a problem when i deploy this application in production. Is it true that i have to buy license if i am going to deploy this application into production. Is there any licensing issue based upon the no of end users for this web application.

I would greatful..:D:D if someone could clarify the above constraints.

    Thanks and Regards

No, there is no commercial restrictions on the VWDE license. It has limited functionality compared to Visual Studio which is what they use to "encourage" people to buy the full package.

No, it is free software and can be used for anything, commercial or private use.

It does not have all the functionality of VS (like obfuscation) hence they allow you to use it for free in the hope that you later decide you need the extra functionality of VS
