Those who are blaming and saying LR was fraud and other bullshit are stupids, LR was a registered company in costa rica, running from many years, they had several offices in several countries. There was a pretty big list of exchangers and sites that were using LR payments. It's not like only fraud guys were using LR. Many legit exchangers, hosting companies and other companies were using LR to receive payments. USA did shutdown because around 200000 americans were using it, without paying tax. They seized it saying it was being used in money laundering and other illegal thing is right but America needs to run their laws in their own country, how the f they can seize some other countries company. They are just showing their powers on other countries. They seized LR's several bank accounts in several countries, including japan, switzerland, panama and many others. They never thought about millions of other countries innocent peoples who were using it legitly. If you still think USA govt is good and they did right, then read new info about their "prism" system.

This is called prosecution by press release, and media defamation. Not a single charge has been proven by a jury trial, and not a single government action in this case has involved lawful due process. People need to understand some laws are tyrannical, and are not lawful in the higher sense of upholding basic liberty rights. Violating the Fugitive Slave Act was also "breaking the law," so would you have turned in people who were harboring escaped slaves?

Just as slaves had a liberty right to be freed from bondage, people have, and want, a basic right to financial privacy, reflected by the ability to use anonymous processors. The US government wants to stamp out privacy, and criminalize/smear anybody practicing it, hence the shutdown and looting of an entire processor over unproven charges about a few of its users. Would they do this to Visa or MC, over a few bad people?

More and more, this scam is becoming exposed. The NSA phone and email scandal of the past week shows that the intent of the government (revealed in the leaked documents) is to eliminate privacy, regardless of whether the individual communications or transactions have any criminal investigation associated with them. The scandal has removed the "we're fighting crime/terrorism" cover the jackboots have used to crush liberty.
