I have just received this email from Liberty Reserve.

** Liberty Reserve Account Block Notice **

Your account has been blocked due to numerous invalid login attempts. You will be unable to send and receive funds until your account has been activated.

Click here to remove block from your account:

Failing to unblock your account will result temporary account suspension.

    Sincerely,
    Liberty Reserve Customer Service

It seemed that someone is trying to access my Liberty Reserve account. I wonder how could I know who was the fella who did it? And what can I do in order to prevent such an occurrence from happening again?

It seems like a fake email to me (phising). So all you have to do is login to your liberty reserve account , NOT via the link that they send you but directly by your browser and see if is true that you have your account blocked. If your account was blocked you must contact liberty reserve . I hope that was helpful for you.

No one did it. The email from LR in your inbox is FAKE. It's a phising attempt. To make sure, type the website address correctly in your browser and login to your account. Never click any link on emails

If the URL in the email is not the official site, do not even respond to it.

As the other said they do not block accounts.. The only thing can happen is to suspend the login for 24h if you fail to enter your password or PIN for like 4 or 5 times in a row
