I just found out that my dad passed away last month, so I call up liberty national insurance, bessemer, AL to inquire on an insurance policy that I had taken out on my dad years ago, when i talked to the rep, I told him straight up, I do not want any family members that may have other interests knowing about this.... today, I just received a call from a relative saying that a Liberty National rep gave her a call, and said I gave them a call for unexplained reasons... Does this sound like a privacy violation? what right did he have in calling anybody saying that I was calling and making inquiries...it is no ones business but my own, the policy belongs to me, and not any other family members, I do not think he had any business calling any family members at all, not even to say that I called... now that my relatives know that I have some type of policy, no doubt they will hand me a guilt trip about the policy...what has happened to privacy in this country... what do you guys think? feel free to keep this thread going. it is apparent that Liberty National Insurance does not have any respect for privacy at all. I wonder if i should submit a complaint to the insurance commission about this....?
