I disagree. Look at the two questions. I answered the first question, which was a dishonest canard by providing a source to prove it's inaccuracy.

I then offered a counter question regarding the validity of what you sought my opinion on. To avoid that, you claimed to have read it, then sought to change the question in order to solicit a response that you might find more favorable.

Was that intentional? It was pretty obvious (at least to me), so I figured I'd ask.

I ask again, what do you think about guerilla's dishonest assertion?

I'd like to think you were more interested in accuracy than blaming America for everything while absolving a man responsible for more than a million murders. You are a better man than that, right?

I don't wish to get in a battle of words with you, because there might be a good chance I wouldn't win. But i will answer your question. As far as I have read, there is no proof that guerilla's assertion was dishonest.

According to the source you provided, the CIA was working with Saddam 16 years before he became president of Iraq..

So I'm left with two choices then. Help me pick which one works best for you:

    1) I posted a direct response to your question with a source that clearly shows saddam took power on his own, AFTER you asked what I thought about guerilla's statement that the US put him in power. Clearly "we" (again, I'm not sure who your "we" is, but I know mine is the USA) did not put him in power, therefore guerilla's statement is dishonest. However, since guerilla is a ron paul supporter and someone who loathes the USA, it would appear you don't want to admit he was wrong, despite having evidence proving otherwise. As such, you are going with "as far as I have read" and pretending to not see the truth, because it isn't important to you.

    2) You are not the better man I gave you credit for being. You want to blame America and are not interested in the million(s) saddam was responsible for, not does it factually matter that saddam took power on his on. Facts don't matter, blaming America for the actions of others does.

Which one works best for you?

How does this equate to "we put him in power" and the modified version of "but we funded him" come into play?

Keep working it, nate. I bet you can probably come up with something to blame America for that is honest ;) After all, that is what is most important!

;) lol. Ok Gtech I understand your argument of who "we" is. "we" may not be the general American people, but instead, the CIA. You do have that point.

Why am I not a good man anymore? What happened? Where did i blame America?

Is it so wrong to question the power of the CIA? Wasn't it the "conservative thing" to question big government?

Saddam would have been better staying in power.

It was a power play from the Bush family, purely a personal vendetta that our country got dragged into.
