That growth is insane.

 

Those stats don't make sense. 5 million users @ 250k a day, means Facebook has only been around 20 days? Or am I missing something really obvious

 

Think it's 5M that log on a day. 250k of which are new users. But still, thats quite bad, seems like they can't keep people coming back.

 

That's why I pointed those numbers out, something seems very weird about them.

 

250k new users a day? Does anyone believe that?

 

250k is an awful lot, even for Facebook. As Twistedspikes said, if they only get 5M members log in daily but 250k new members a day, those are horrible retention rates. And if its 5M total members as the article says, I really don't see how that is possible! In just 20 days they'll have 10M or double they're current number of members!

people hear about it, signup and find out what a shitty setup is and leave.... ANOTHER thing is those 250k accounts are setup by 10k people a day.... Group building and spam bullshit
