Looking for a new replacement LCD in the 24" - 27" range. I'm a freelance graphic/web designer and photographer who's been using a 7yr old Viewsonic 21" 2025WM monitor as his main monitor. Back in the day it was one of the best bang for your buck lcd's IMO (came with an MPV-A panel, 8ms and the color reproduction for its time was amazing). I bought it for $500 w/ 3yr warranty at BB, and this thing has been solid as a rock since the day I bought it...not a dead pixel. Unfortunately its slowly starting to head out. A few months ago the DVI port died and I have been forced to use analog VGA instead of digital, and I also find it isn't as bright as it used to be. I'm now starting to look for a decent replacement. but not something in the commercial/pro range at $1000+. I'm looking for another 2025WN type of monitor that offers a great balance between color reproduction + features and cost. Almost pro , but not quite there. Good enough for the average designer. I've been checking out the Dell Ultrasharps , but this years models don't seem to be getting great reviews as years passed..Thanks for your help.
