Our team (Trailblaze Studios) launched a website last month that allows you to engage in audio freestyle battles with people around the globe, without having to download any special plugins, all you need is a microphone. http://www.letsbeef.com/ If you don't know what a Freestyle Battle is, then you probably don't listen to Hip Hop music, but the best way to describe it would be like an online version of the movie '8 Mile'... Initial response is great, 1500 registered users and an archive of over 1000 completed battles, 1 month in! The site is in open beta form, but let me know what you think. Any constructive criticism is appreciated. P.S: The "Help I'm New! bar across the top of the page disappears after registration"
You may want to make your "parental advisory" a little bigger and clearer. You may also want to preface your audio battles with some audio before the actual audio that states "Attention listeners, this audio battle may contain offensive language content not suitable for younger audiences."
Yeah, doing this will actually get more people to listen. Very cool site & idea. Though the template renders slightly wrong in safari at the moment.
Thanks for the praise! Good point about the Parental Advisory, I'll be sure to draw more attention to it next update
We just launched LetsBeef.com v2.0... complete re-design and new Text battle section... I know theres a few minor visual issues with this layout & firefox, will be resolved soon http://www.letsbeef.com/ Let me know what you think of our new site? Btw.. we're almost at 5000 members since we launched 2 months ago!
Hey just posting an update. Since launching version 3 of our site: http://www.letsbeef.com We are now at 70,000+ members Check us out
It's really very cool. I think I will love it. And only one small comments here is that the menu title is hard to read. I think you design it tentitively, but if you can find a style that you feel excited and also can bring some convenience to the visitors, that would be perfect.
Excellent site. Nice graphics and having 1,000 battles completed within 1 month pretty much shows that you're getting something right. The only thing I could say is to advertise latest hip-hop releases instead of the eBay banner. More target advertising = more money to you!
