Let's Work Together To Hit Digg Frontpage

I was wondering whether we will be able to hit digg frontpage if we work together. We form a group of say 100 people and ask each other to Digg our stories. One story from one person a week.

What do you say? Will it work?

I guess its possible, but i think Digg dont like this kind of thing, and they would just ban every account who are part of the group. If you add each other as friends on digg.com and then just do it that way, then i dont see there being a problem.

Any idea about how many Diggs are required to hit frontpage???

 

I think you must have at least 150 diggs in three minutes.

 

Oops... No way... But how do people manage to get that.... I think its very hard for newbies... as within the first minute itself our story would go to the next page...

 

Will Digg ban me if I Digg too many stories... of course not my sites...???

 

I don't think this would work because Digg would recognize those diggs as not organic ... I assume you want to share diggs through IM...

It is hard to get on digg's FP as there are whitelisted sites that hit FP, while some anonymous blogs need 200 diggs or more and still don't hit FP. Besides it also matters whether you send shout or not, and how many mutual friends digg your story or even better how many 'outsiders' diggs your story (but not through IM, but through recommendation engine that was I assume actually invented to avoid unorganic diggs... )

 

No, there is a possibility a window with "itchy finger ... what about reading some stories" will pop up

I think there was not many cases of getting banned bacsue of blind digging. Although digg is very quick when it comes to banning

Probably not a good idea since it's against the policies for Digg. I agree with others here, it could get us banned.

People have tried this sort of stuff before, it either has 3 outcomes

The system works fine for a few times then you get caught out and all of you get banned

You get caught out before it starts and you all get banned

Someone abuses the system and then people fall out and the system gets destroyed.

I would personally recommend it and I would focus my time on something else.

 

Diggs coming from your friends carry less weight than outsiders

Yeah that must be true.. but I think at least we can make a network of say 25... so that at least people will notice that... and may Digg it if its interesting.... Right?

i dont think it will work. but if you really want to try, just create a special account for this purpose and add your friend to your friends list. add as many as you can. Then post them a shout. by this way, Digg wi not trace it as spam .
