lets try this again - Quality makes $$$ - "LOGO NEEDED" $$10 - 100$$ Come 1 Come All!

Ok, I think all the typing of my last contest attempt may have overwhelmed some, so I am going to go a different route...

My focus of this contest is a "LOGO" and I am willing to pay any where from 50 to 100 dollars for it....Depending on what is invested and the quality of the logo...You can put your price of the logo with your entry so I can keep cost in mind as well...

BUT!!! there maybe some entries I like, but I would use them more for a T-shirt then a logo...if that is the case I may still pay for those also from $10 -$20 for shirt designs....so if you don't win the contest for the logo you may still win some money regardless....

Ok so here we go....

Website, Trademark or Brand Name: HIP HOP ADDICTS is the website with no spaces, and our slogan/trademark is "FEED YOUR ADDICTION"

Desired Color Scheme: colors will be black, white and green...feel free to use a variety of greens sometimes that works best...

Desired File Formats: PSD & PNG, JPG, Vector

Now let me also tell you, I am looking for a character to go with the theme and logo...something along the lines of this little guy...

^^^ and he would be incorporated in to the logo....now the character IS OPTIONAL, but I can tell you it would with out a doubt better your odds of winning the contest....

With that said, feel free to do what you guys do best...there will be no exact deadline for this contest, once I get a few submissions I will most likely be able to pick who I am going to work with, but I would like to see atleast half a dozen concepts before I jump to an ending....then again If you for some reason make exactly what I am looking for we will end it there...

Hey thanks for your entry....

A few words of input from your design....I would want the name in capital letters to give it the full BOLD EFFECT and one thing that I ask is that if you choose to use a "character" it needs to be one that you personally made so that in the event down the road I want the character to be in a different postion or something that can be done...otherwise if the character is not custom then just leave that part out...also if I may add that your design is more like a header then a logo, the logo needs to be more geared towards the bold text or character, but no so much crazy backgrounds because the actual logo itself will not need a background....that can come later when we work on the site etc but for now I am shooting strictly for a logo...

Cameo - sounds great I look forward to seeing what you come up with especially since you mentioned being good with characters...and yes please tell your sister I think thats cool you guys kind of work as a team...good stuff...

shadowpwner - I am not trying to be mean, but I tell it how it is...

There really isnt anything "original" to the concept to me looks like a slap back ground with a quick "impact" font thrown on top...I am looking for quality, I can handle beginner stuff myself free of cost, I need original, cutting edge and when you see it, it has that "WOW" effect....

I appreciate the submission, but if I am not completely honest with every one then I don't beleive I'll end up with what I need...also please note to pay attention to rules I listed above....

COLOR THEME - (not purple) as well as list your price so that in the event I don't want to use it for the logo I may still purchase as a t-shirt design....

adamant - Cheers my man!! Look nice, not exactly what im looking for but we are getting a bit warmer already...I like the incorporating of the mic as that is part of what the logo needs to be some what "themed"...

get creative guys, use a record for an "O" maybe a microphone for the "I" who knows just have fun and be original as possible as well as creative...

Keep in mind I'm looking for BIG BOLD IN YOUR FACE LOOK and yours kind of has a ghostly faded kind of look....I need bright and in your face...something you can see a mile away....

As of now your not out of the run, but please if you guys would please drop price as well with your entry...

Nice, Cameo! If I may make one comment... the hat kinda looks like an elfin-type thing, instead of a baseball cap... maybe just need to re-do the back area a bit... but otherwise, very impressive! Love the baggy pants.

 

ok now I'm starting to perk up...first off thanks for all the recent submissions I would like to take a sec to give some feedback on my thoughts please keep in mind I call it how I see it, no hate just honest constructive critisism....

Ross860 : Really clean, I like that but it's just not what I am looking for as I'm looking for more custom work then stock photo images...I'd honestly love the whole thing to be custom, but if a stock font works well then that is fine...

Desiree joy: I like the in your face look as far as colors, but I don't see that as a logo more like a header then anything...also a few notes: that is one of the most used fonts in hip hop graphics so that hurts the "original" aspects of it because it's like a variation of something seen thousands of times (no good) Also not that it matters, but just so you guys know i'm a bit of a stickler...The stock photo (microphone) the "stroke" looks pretty bad, very jagged and ruff not a good look for me...sorry...but I thank you for trying...

Cameo: Sweetheart where have you been all my life lol...I'll be honest I don't really like this character but the quality is spectacular, I take it you designed him yourself? no stock premade character stuff? Even though I don't like him I think you are capable of making "the" character...you didnt drop any price and I would need the character incorporated into the logo, he wouldnt really be the logo alone.... but yea let me know, I'm impressed...

Mac - lol @ "g's up, ho's down" and yes I do agree he feels a bit keebler elfish with the hat and tight shirt, not what im going for, but the actual work is quality stuff...

 

I'll see what I can do, I wanted it more "hip/hop looking" but I can change that up. I will lose the microphone as well, It was one I'd made in the past and I thought it'd fit

swaymedia we have talked on PM, I told you what I think as of now that is pretty much my favorite, clean works with the theme, I would change the colors around, but it looks pretty nice already...although I really like cameo's work as well I think if some how we could get the 2 concepts and incorporate them we would be getting in the area of where I am trying to be....

I am going to doodle up a ruff draft and see where you guys may be able to take it...I will try and post it up here shortly....

Desiree thanks for submitting again, but it is just not what I am looking for, that is something I could design myself and obviously I wouldnt want to pay for something I can do myself....This is more of a custom job or atleast will need to incorporate some custom work i.e. swaymedias hats and microphone as well as cameo's character touch...

Hopefully you guys are getting a better idea of what I'm in the market for.....if you have any questions or words to input feel free I am more then willing to do anything I can to help you guys see my vision...

 

He's not a stock character at all... but what kind of character were you looking for? What exactly is it you don't like about this character so I don't spend a lot of time on attempts you're not going to like?

Cameo - great because I really want a custom character so that he can be made into different positions etc at a later date if need be....I like the work just don't really like anything about that particular character...He lacks the street/Urban feel I am looking for....

I spent last night trying to either find/design some ruff ideas that should help you guys a bit better into visually what I am going for....

Ok, now as for fonts/text work... I wanted something bold and in your face, something that jumps out at you and catches your eye...maybe even 3d'ish styled...Here are some logos I came across that kind of have the customish font/text type look I had in mind....

Now as far as the "character" I found a few stock ones that kind of have the look/feel I am going for and I tried to mock up a ruff draft with the characters involved...for example I came across this image...

After that I came across this guy and to be honest other then his position and color of his clothes etc. He is just about perfect to what I am looking for...I think some type of animal would be better then a person because then I will never have to hear, well why is he white? why is he black? why is it a guy and not a female etc etc...If I go the animal route it will be a universal figure/character....Keep in mind I really like this character and how he has that devilish look to him, but my charcter doesnt have to be a dog... can be a dog, cat, bear, coyote, anything that looks good but can still pull off this look....any how here is the original stock I found of the guy...

Ok, well I think that is about as much ammo as I can give into trying to let you guys see my vision....now it's up to some one to try and put all the pieces together and make it reality....Please keep in mind COLORS My theme and color scheme is black,white, and green so that means everything should be that color...if for some reason you need to add another color or 2 to the character or something that is fine, just try and stick within my colors as much as possible...
