I'm new to this, and not to come off weird or anything but I typed 'ass' into the Google keyword tool. I'm using 'ass' as an example because it's relavent to this topic. By typing in ass i discovered that there were 37 million est. queries during the month of November. The average number of searches over a 12month period is roughly 20 million. According to the Keyword tool the advertisers competition is @ 100% and if you don't think it's possible to have 100% it's VERY close. The estimated click rate is approximately 55 cents per click. Having said that, I would assume that anything related to 'ass' is adult/mature. I mean maybe my mind is in the gutter but I don't know anything related to ass that you could possibly lookup other than kicking it. So I ask is google now allowing adult advertisers/content since the advertiser competition is apparently VERY high or are 37 million people trying to find the nearest donkey with google and/or need ass kicking tips.
You can advertise 'adult' products on the search pages, (just try an unfiltered search for something like 'dildo' and you'll see loads of sponsored links) though I presume it's blocked for certain countries. Advertising this type of thing on the content network is mostly prohibited though - i.e. the adsense ads that appear on blogs and websites is a lot more tightly controlled.
Would you expect any less from Google? The corporate machine needs more advertising revenue any way they can get it.
they have always allowed adult ads on adwords for search. they would be dumb if they didn't allow adult ads. if "ass" (exact) has a such high "advertisers competition",how come i see no ads when i search for "ass"?
Well, I dont think google would show you ass pics in its ads.. but yeah it just a keyword... it could go like ass then something
"ASS" Could mean anything from relevance from "ass-ass-ination" to the commonly used meaning as in "jackass" or something of that calibur. Ass is also the name for an animal that looks like a donkey - or it's just another name for it. Forgot which ones right.
