Let's talk Adsense Earnings

    Hi guys.

I tried adsense a while ago but gave up because of only earning a few cents- however I realize now that there is potential if you have enough good sites.

My goals is to build up a number of sites that earn at least a little bit per day, until it adds up to alot per day. I figure you can earn ~$100 a day at a normal job- so what would it take to achieve this on adsense?

    100 x Sites earning $1 per day
200 x Sites earning 50 cents per day
400 x Sites earning 25 cents per day

Of course, if the sites were good enough, some could earn more, and others might be duds which earn nothing.

Recently I programmed a game that runs in a browser. It earns anywhere between 50 cents to $1.50 per day- some days it earns nothing though. My goal is to build up a portfolio of sites such as this until the average daily earning is even half of a full time wage ($50 per day). Due to the fact that you would still earn on weekends, even $50 a day (100 sites that earn 50c each on average per day) you could earn $350 per week which is a significant, automated boost to your income.

Has anyone tried something like this before? Are you currently trying something like this?

How much have you earnt through the "Adsense network" approach of creating many low-earning sites?

And what type of site do you think earns best, the earliest?

well building that many sites can take a long time when you can just work on one site and have it make 100's per day and 1,000's per week.

And what is your site with the game you programmed? can I have the link

I suggest buying up a number of related sites that are setup and ready and just need marketing - inject google adwords and your away. ( or any other ppc )

Nope - don't do it, it's the wrong approach...

Watch Matt Cutts talking about this subject: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpJacspWz4Y&noredirect=1

"Do you have enough valuable content to support 2000 sites!?" - well I know you are talking in the hundreds... so let's say that you do this properly and in a way not to be detected, you need multiple hosts, servers, I.P addresses & possibly user names - as to not be detected. Can you afford to run all of these? and can you still make them profitable... it's just as likely for you to earn 50cents a day from individual pages on the one domain/site and use several sub domains...

Google focuses on post regularity, unique content, and NEW content - especially true now with the Panda updates...

To make 50cents you will need about 500 unique visitors daily... now across 100, 200, 300 pages etc. You're talking about 100k visits per day to make $100-$200 per day. That's an impossible task with niche sites...

Interesting.. Well yeah I couldn't do it with niche sites as I wouldn't have enough content, but I do love making online games. I make them for fun anyway, and now I've recently gotten to the stage where I am able to get them running in a browser.

I do have one "Arcade" site in the works which can host multiple games, maybe it's better to just try to get the adsense from this one site.

However I enjoy getting a domain name for each game and setting it up to give it it's own personal home.

Well - if you like making games, then maybe you could branch out, this is a different ball game... maybe make an app' for iProducts? for the iPhone, iPad etc. Then make an app on Facebook for each game... you probably wont be as reliant on Google then and if the game's good you could make it go viral or at least popular on different platforms... then flip them/sell them at a later date - once the traffic is established - unique games and app's tend to go for good money... Sell the game on iTunes and offer free samples with sponsored ad's. That's what I would be doing if I had your skills. But the question remains - how many games can you keep up to date and basically manage.

Video games are not good for adsense generally speaking.
But also I wouldn't do many sites which earn peanuts each.
Rather I'd (if I was to start from scratch) focus on building about half a dozen sites and each earning minimum $10 per day.

In the past I have calculated and wrote in my blog, about what is required to earn $50 a day. And it doesn't sound so difficult at all.
By taking correct figures such as CPC $0.1 and CTR 5% then you would need about 5 or 6 thousand daily unique visitors to your sites to achieve this.

Now how to get this traffic which can seem quite high when you're used to having only a few hundreds visitors per day, well it has to do with popular topics for non technical people.

Many people think that game niche is not good for adsense because the game niche is considered as low paid niche. The fact is game niche is actually good due to the high CTR, game site visitor like to click ads when they found some attractive image or games. I use to have a game site previously and earn quite good from adsense before i sold it out

Well...if you can get the traffic draw to your games...then after that I would
focus on providing them with services. Find some kind of service you can
provide for Free and promote that to the Gamer.

This has bee quite effective for me and I am branching out into more services
to provide..eventually I will sale premium services and products to my visitors.

I do not earn much from Adsense, as I prioritize my affiliate programs - hence my ads placement and low CTR. But I get some decent funds from it however.
Still I prefer running only several, niche sites (which I hardly manage to keep all up, daily updated, useful and attractive for visitors, and with good traffic).

As thsadmin said above you will have lots of additional expenses for running few hundred sites and also you wont be able to SEO all of them good enough...

p.s. I am not familiar with the gaming niche, so there's nothing to say about it...

How about 1 x Non-crappy site earning $100 per day?

why you are thinking about just increasing the number of sites?
i run only 3 blogs in blogger. com and it gives me around 1000$ per month. think about quality not quantity dude.
if you can establish 5 blogs then i can ensure that you can get the money that you will not get from the 9-5 job. and anyways you can continue both. :)
