The USA softball team took Silver!!!

And they dropped the sport because the USA was supposedly unbeatable. I guess someone should have told Japan that they weren't supposed to beat us!

After several days of watching the Olympics I must say I'm impressed by the way China organized this event. Congratulations to the Chinese people!

 

Is the closing ceremony supposed to be a spectacle too or will it be relatively simple and quick? Is Yao Ming going to put out that giant torch by peeing on it?

 

Well USA won the Beach Volleyball Gold in Mens too! They beat Brazil by 2 - 1. So use have both Beach Volleyball Gold.

Their medal tally is now reach to 30 Gold.

One of the Cuban Tae Kwon Doe athletes kicked a ref in the face...and then pushed a Olympian official. I hope he gets banned from any international competition in the future, and if it was up to me he would be put in a Chinese jail for assault. However, I'm sure the people friendly government of Cuba will be sure to care for him nicely . He completely embarrassed his country.
