Hmmm... Judging by my signature, I think you could safely say that I am a little bit excited... :p

I love it all! And I watch every bit of it that I can, from the Opening Ceremony to the Closing Ceremony... :D

I love the Summer Olympics and probably watch more TV during the games than at any other time. As for who is likely to win the most medals, I expect it to be the US, China and Russia, but I can't say for certain who will come out on top as China does have the home field advantage.

As for the events I will watch, I love the martial arts so I'll watch Judo, Taekwondo, Fencing, Archery and probably swimming.

I remember Filipinos accusing the Thai's cheating when the Olympics was held in Thailand. And the Thai's accused the Filipinos cheating when the Olympics was held in the Philippines. LOL!

I guess the hosting country always has the advantage of being in their "home court"

    But you'll never know.

I'm watching it now. 15 mins in, and all I've seen are some fireworks, drums, a singing kid, and a few soldiers. I can't believe how dull it is.

    Anyone else?

It was fucking amazing with the lights, counting down to the start and then the fireworks. When it comes to the UK in 2012 there will probably be some party poppers and sparklers.

Yeah it's getting a bit better now. Still... you've seen one synchronized choreography thingy, you've seen 'em all.

I'm waiting for Jackie Chan to parachute in from a helicopter.

My TV is tuned firmly to the other side.
If China want the eyes of civilisation upon them then they should learn to conduct them self in a civilised manner.
