Hi, one of our site which got uploaded a few months ago had a higher PR than a site which had been there for years. We have identified one problem already. What do you think could be the case for this? www.decksupplies.com and www.wagmanhair.com the second one is newer the the first one and has acquired PR4. Thank you
Age does not matter. Backlinks are all that matter for PR. More backlinks (strong backlinks) more PR for you.
It appears that the older site has less back links than the newer site. The other thing i have noticed very recently is that nearly all the new sites i been working on have received a good level of PR, were older and stable established sites haven't really changed. Will be interesting to see what happens on the next PR update.
The solution is very easy. It is your linking with http://www.wagmanprimus.com/ that has given you the link power. You are listed on a number of pages that have PageRank and you have no outbound links and very few internal links on the homepage of your site. I would also recommend altering the link on your logo to http://www.wagmanhair.com/ instead of http://www.wagmanhair.com/index.asp
age dosent matter in page ranking all that count is backlinks and the quality of links that your site is link to and the proper optimization of page one of the most important factor in page rankings.
Yeah Age of a site matters. But while its all about quality back links then search engine will obviously put your site in the front panel. And getting higher PR is not a big task for the site that is having quality back links.
