Ok so I'm selling widgets. The widgets I'm selling have MAP pricing so all of my competition has to sell the widgets at the same price and NO LOWER. So I'm in the position that (I of course am working on an organic campaign but..) I want to get my site in the eyes of the consumer so I can generate some sales and make some mula. My widgets have many different manufacturers.. What are the best keywords to use for adword campaigns? My Widgets get searched a lot, not only for people to purchase but for people to find review sites and consumer reports etc. I don't want to spend $X per lead just to find out that these people are only clicking for informational purposes. What are the best keywords to campaign and what's a reasonable budget? Today I started two campaigns just to test the waters. My thoughts were that the consumers that were typing "buy Brand A Widgets" would be a good start because the consumers typing this are looking to ACT on buying. I also started a campaign for "buy Widgets"... What are your thoughts and what are some of the secrets out there that will save me money and at the same time lead to more sales? I'm all ears
It's hard to tell from the limited information you provided. In any case, I'd test a lot of words but but be sure to track them.
Try bidding on competitor terms and saying that your product is a good alternative to theirs. Don't bash the other companies as that looks very cheap, but be professional.
I agree negative campaigns will make you look bad, research your competitors and you will get a better idea of how to market your product.
