Which ad server do i use??

Adsense can give you money through that traffic.

Depend. If you rely heavily on online ads, try alternatives to adsense such as adbrite or even direct ads. If you sell something, 40 million pageviews per day can give you a really lot of money! But once again, depend on what kind of site.

You should provide some more information on your website in order for us to give a relative judgment... Is your traffic and website legal? What do you do and what does your website provide?

40 million pageviews per day, honestly, sounds unreasonable. Is that automated traffic?

There are so many monetization options and choosing the best one can make a difference in earning as much as 500% and more.

Contextual Advertising Networks: Google Adsense, Yahoo Publisher network and MSN Adcenter

PPS (Pay-per-sign Up): Some companies which use this particular revenue model are: Ebay, Yahoo search marketing, 1-800-Flowers, etc.

Lead Generation Programs: These programs rely on information gathered by affiliates in order to offer solutions to people who inquired about the product or service. The information to be gathered varies according to the service being promoted, for instance if you are promoting ring tones the information you will have to acquire will be phone numbers from people who want to get ring tones for their phones, if on the other hand you are promoting a financial service the lead will consist on a lot more information than just their phone number. Basically the more information the lead requires the higher your payout will be. All leads generated are tracked through the affiliate program, they usually show you where the traffic came from, what the landing page was and how your traffic is performing.

CPM: cost per thousand is only effective when you have thousands of visitors a month; this method is very similar to Free-way advertising, people driving by will be able to see the advertisement and those who are interested in the offer will click it and land on a page designated and maintain by your client.

    Good luck. :)

Thank you all for the information. The site is a bittorrent related. So all ad networks will be wanting our inventory.

@tsukara : I dont think adsense is a viable option, because most of it runs on CPC basis. Thus our click thru rate is very poor.

First you need to clarify where your came from... how they come to your site...

Then to clarify that your webpage, is it porn relate or clean :)

After that you can decide which ads network you can use.

If you want to use Google Adsense, read their TOS first. It is also apply to others ads network too. So make smart choice :)

    ..

I just read your reply up there, I suggest you to sale ads space. :) More profitable!

Tribalfusion or Advertising.com are good Cpm banner shops.

You might want to install openx.org's product to manage and sell your own ads as well.

Adtoll.com I'd say. The ads price is per week and depends on alexa pr. If you have such a high traffic you'll have decent alexa pr and can get very high rates in the Adtoll network.
    Think of it!

If I had 40 million pageviews a day with my current "blog" I'd be making $40,000 a day from adsense alone. Private advertising would be great to.

@Thanoz Adtoll dont actually do anything but provide a basic marketplace. They arent a real ad network, they just provide a place for Publishers and advertisers to interact.

@Sockmoney Yeh tribalfusion is the company i was interested in trying. I also think your idea about Openx is the good for an ad server, but what are the other ad serving options??

Additionally, most people dont understand that the more pageviews your receive in a month, most of the time your CPM will decrease a lot.

Yup, that's true but it'a great place to get good cash. I have seen ads on sites like PSPiso(with high traffic) getting even 300$/week for one banner.
If you get 40 millions of hits you could get good money yourself too.

some advertiser don't like advertising on bittorrent related site for several reasons. I recommend you approach your clients directly as some advertising companies such as google, i don't think like advertising on bittorrent or related sites. But its worth a try....
