Well Guys DP is a cool place to hangout, although most of the info is repeated we do sometimes stumble upon some useful jems.

This being said though, as of late DP is turning into a rubbish heap and the main cause of this is via the DP Marketplace

    1) Genuine people I know including myself are getting bad reputations by half attempted efforts at people performing services and expecting to get paid.
    2) This is making all the knowledgable people leave the forum and leaving the cowboys to run the place.

I know DP have taken a step in stopping bumping threads with a 7 day ban but more needs to be done. And DP are well aware of this and are ignoring it. I am sure the changes can be made very easily with funds therefore I would be willing to give DP a percentage to fund this cleanup because I am fed up of seeing this mess and people forever complaining. What I would like to see done is as follows.

    1) A simple escrow system should be implemented before any itrader is allowed to be given. Payments MUST be deposited into regulated escrow
    2) When creating a services thread you MUST specify how many winners you will choose. So for example if I am looking for a designer I am only looking for 1 so would specify 1. If you are offering a service then that should be specified initially and you will be able to pick everyone you have chosen as a buyer. If YOU do not then no itrader can be given.

Ths is mostly done on freelance sites such as GAF and it should be done here as we are seeing more scams than actual genuine transactions.

Therefore I suggest that someone that can develop vbulletin give us a price and if DP are not going to do it lets make this a safer place ourselves and put some funding towards it. It will help us all in the long run

    1. No, we will not implement an escrow service. We are a platform - we have no time or interest in taking on a further role in actual transactions.

    2. Private business is private business. People can choose to post as little or as much as they want, as long as they're willing to take additional questions via PM.

It's the responsibility of every member conducting business here to thoroughly research anyone they want to have a transaction with - iTrader is just one minor tool - a starting place. Do research beyond that (look at their professional site, portfolios, past transactions / deal threads, etc.), and you'll decrease your chances of being scammed. I can even vouch for that strategy personally - I've done a lot of business here for several years (selling sites and domains, selling services, buying services, selling e-books, etc.), and I've not once been scammed. Avoiding it rests in each individual's hands.
