Ok, I am a big fan of adsense. I a mainly to only use .com and .org domains though. What about .us.com? or .tv? or any of those. My traffic does not usually come from dirrect, but more from search engines. So would this matter at all? I want to hear some thoughts!
I haven't tried .us, .tv. But I have domains with .com, .net. I don't think it matters to the search engines. I believe backlinks play an important role here.
Backlinks are key. People say forbid certain extensions but I believe with the right amount of work you can make any extension wealthy.
Alright, well I might try it then if it doesnt matter for the search engines. I could just submit articles to directories and stuff like that to help me build some backlinks. So would all this mean that the extension will not effect your pagerank?
I own numerous extensions. .com .net .org .info .me etc.. and as far as my knowledge different extensions will not have a play in PR. The only real extension that I have heard is frowned upon is the .info because it is related to spammers and scammers but I see .info extensions ranking high in Google all the time. Example.. search myley cyrus on google and you will a .info extension in the top 10 and has a PR3. Its all about how well you can build quality backlinks.
hmm I run proxies so I buy alot of domains. Like 10-20 domains a month and use them for proxies. For me, I like .US domains and .com. I noticed by .info ones make very less money then my .com or .us.I think it has more to do with rememberability and appeal. People like .com and is easier to remember. For .us it also looks appealing in my opinion. This month I bought 8 .us domains and 8 .info domains. here is the results The .us domains totaled $75.94 The info domains totaled $7.42
there is no difference at all at the TLD when it comes to SE. TLD is for branding only, SE traffic that you get will remember the TLD and will come back again. more people will tend to remember the .com then the .tv TLD
