Couple days ago, I bought one licence for BitDefener Internet Security and I must say that a really, really good antivirus product. Before BD I used NOD32, and when BD started to scan my PC, he was found a couple of bad trojans and even a worm (Win32.Worm.Bobax.A/C). But everything was perfect, BT removed them and now my PC runs smoothly! The thing that maked my day was that he can encrypt the chat windows in Yahoo Messenger! (of course if the other person use BD too :p). Well, I'm waiting the other BD users to say their oppinion too, so ...

You should give Avast a try. However, if you're going to use Avast, use the Professional version. It's gotten rid of some really disgusting viruses for me in the past and continues to do so :)

Do not use NOD32 without a good firewall! Don't say I dind't warn you! If you choose NOD32, use Internet Security (Antivirus + Firewall). ;)

"Used AVG before this, it totally couldn't see the viruses that were clearly hitting my pc. I like how if it cant delete a virus it simply blocks it from taking action rather than just leaving it there to fester."

I just recently purchased BitDefender Total Security 2009; it's awesome. I've used many various anti-virus programs before and BD is by far the best... in my book, and according to PC World magazine (after Norton, of course).

It has made my computer faster and smoother. Makes me happy :D

Nice protection I will admit, I think that I will stick with my avast since my license is still good for a bit longer.

i used bitdefender for a couple of years - really liked it a lot. Although it did slow my laptop up a fair amount...those periodic updates.

However I will go back to it now I have a new desktop, feels only natural!

I used it years ago and it slowed my computer and I uninstalled it. I have not used bitdefender till today. But I have to admit that bit defender is a very good antivirus.

Bitdefender and kaspersky are the best, Althought bitdefender slows down processes but still it is very much effective.

That sounds like a hit list of the world's worst anti-virus software, in canological order - the Beelzebub, Arch Demon and Anti-Pope of virus detection . :)

Nod, AVG, Kaspersky and BD are all good in their own way, but whichever one you use one of the others wiill find something the other two couldn't - and probably a hundred more 10 times faster than the devils above.

AVG is fine for me, although if I had to upgrade I would go for Kaspersky.

In a several virus attack in my place, according the the "real test result",
I find Kaspersky is excellent and I am satisfied with it .
I still didn't try BD before . How is it comparing kis? What is the price ?

Used NOD32 and it left many viruses on my machine. Much better programs out there than that.

I admit BD is a bit resource intensive but does a pretty good job
