Lets all make a search engine w/ tons of services and try out beating competiton!

I'd be interested to see where this went.. And i'd be willing to help.. but everyone would want to be the owner of the project, everyone would want complete control, and there would just be too many politics. Now if you can get people willing to help that don't expect any financial return, such as the developers of php, then you could actually be onto something.

Sent you a private message Stell, and he is right but I should have it under control and if we all do work together, think of what we will output in the future. Picture this small group starting now as being a multi-billion dollar company why would people not help, there would be so much to gain espically because we are all talented

 

One thing I would point out is you will all need to write out a legal contract with each other. Part from that I wish you luck, you may need it!

 

How would we go about doing that Dan and what do you mean by legal? And about making a privacy policy and terms of service i need people to do that also.

 

Well ideally though a laywer, but I'm going to guess your not at the stage where you have the funds yet. You need to write up something and have everyone sign it (digitally) to clarify what percentages people get etc. Otherwise you can sure if you got big people would start claiming larger bites of the pie.

 

True, is it possible you know anybody who can type those things up and for your search engine are you using google or any other search engine for your results or do you have a web crawler

 

The matter is not of getting together, here at DP there are many helping ppl.
The matter is about machines i.e servers who will invest.

 

If you can get some planning done and staff up I'm sure MSE360.com would be happy to invest in resources that you will require.

You will need a lot of servers. Very tough job, you know people wont be eager to join because this project will payout after years(if). My questions is what jobs do you have in this project. Will it need al ot of time because I have like 5 sites to care about.
